Edwards Theatres opened the Long Beach Stadium 26 on May 14, 1999 in time for the summer movie season. It had 4,895-seats. It is part of the larger Long Beach Town Center, which was built on the site of the old Naval Hospital, which closed in 1993. Since 2002 the theater has been part of Regal Entertainment Group. On October 4, 2024 screen 11 opened as a 4DX screen with 136-seats, reducing the overall capacity to 2,953-seats.

@nothing but cinema your seat counts are about 5 above, I don’t count wheelchair spaces as seats, only acutual and companion.
@ridethectrain: That is specifically why I say “capacity” instead of “seats”! Though wheelchair spaces are technically seats when they’re occupied; I don’t think it’s much of a stretch to include it in my numbers. Seems more inclusive for people with disabilities!
