First of its kind in Orange County to have two Stadium Style theaters equipped with baby cry rooms. The two large stadium houses has 70mm capability. They screened 2 nice clean 70mm prints of The Hunt for Red October.
They were the first Orange County theatre to have THX sound in all of their 8 houses.

“The Hunt for Red October” did not play in 70mm at this theater, only in 35mm Dolby SR in the first two weeks, according to the Los Angeles Times ad. The film played in Orange County in 70mm at Edwards “Big” Newport Cinema and Cinedome in Orange. The theater did show some 70mm presentations including “Last Action Hero” of which I saw here. For a former Mann theater, this was one of the nicest I had attended.
moviebluedog is correct about “The Hunt for Red October” not playing here in 70mm. That film’s North American 70mm bookings can be found here and Orange County’s 70mm presentations history can be found here.
