The Glenwood Arts Theater is located on the east side of Metcalf Avenue South at W. 95th Street. It opened August 3, 1967 with Walt Disney’s “The Gnome-Mobile”, replacing the Glenwood Theatre further along Metcalf Avenue. The street sign from the old (now demolished theatre) was re-instated at this new location. It became the Glenwood Arts Theatre on November 22, 2002.
It was closed in January 2015. It was demolished and a Lowe’s Hardware store and apartments were built on the site.
