As of June 2023, the marquee is still standing. It is being used by Cruisers Diner.
The screen has been removed as of August, 2014.
This screen is slated to be moved to the Auto Vue Drive In in Colville, which is the only remaining operational drive-in in eastern Washington.
No Speaker posts are all gone. Snack bar and ticket booth are gone too. Foundation for ticket booth is still there though. Screen and outer fencing is all that is left.
Are the speaker posts still there?
I saw the original Halloween movie (with Jamie Lee Curtis) at this theater in 1978. I believe it closed not too long after that. The screen and marquee are still standing.
richardnecochea…the best way is to go to the local library and start going through the copies of the local newspaper and look at the movie ads.
I’ve been trying to find out the of the last movie shown at this theatre. Thanks if you can help.
Approx. address for this drive-in was 19091 Lakeview Dr NW, Lakeview, Washington 98851.
I worked at both the Lee Theater and Parkview Drive In summer of 67. The drive in was classic.
I was just able to visit this Drive-In yesterday. The screen, the lot and the outer fence is all still there. The snack bar / projection building looks to have collapsed. Photos from my 7-21-2012 visit can be seen here. One here http://westernwadriveintheatres.weebly.com/ more here http://westernwadriveintheatres.weebly.com/park-in.html This website is new and still in development so if you navigate around it and find some blanks please excuse me.
Boxoffice magazine December 29, 1951 issue mentions John Lee built the Park-in and operated it as part of the Columbia Basin Theatre Corporation.
My pictures are from the year 2000. Do you guys know if there is anything left of this theater today?
