November 1963 ad from the Sacramento Bee newspaper. The Cinerama rollout to major cities across the country was very slow indeed. Sacramento must have been very near the end of the cycle as three projector Cinerama didn’t arrive at the Esquire until 1963, eleven years after it premiered at the Orpheum in San Francisco. The Orpheum was playing the last three panel feature “How the West Was Won” at the same time as Sacramento was playing the first Cinerama film.
