The Skyline Drive In opened on September 1, 1949. It was located atop Indian Ridge in Crown Point NY. The capacity was 300 cars.
The screen, which was 60 feet high and 96 feet wide, was destroyed in a windstorm on January 14, 1950. New management took over in August of 1950. The Skyline Drive-In continued to operate until 1972. In 1974 two young men were arrested for stealing speakers from the drive in, although there is no evidence the drive in was open at that time. It was reopened for the 1978 and 1979 seasons.
A campground, the Maple Ridge Park and Family Diner currently occupies the site. The diner is in the old concession building.
