The Paramount Theatre was opened on 30th June 1925. Seating is provided in orchestra and balcony levels. It was re-named Regent Theatre in 1931. It was closed in 1963.
Since closing as a cinema, the Regent Theatre has been in use as an RSL (Returned & Services League) Club for ex-military, and presents occasional live performances.

Opened on 30/6/1925 as the Paramount Theatre(700 seats). Name changed to Regent Theatre in 1931. 1390 seats in 1940. Closed for movies in 1963. Building then used for retail, then taken over by the RSL.
This theatre stopped screening films in 1963.
