The Regal closed on Saturday February 20th 1960 with the ABC release double bill of Jack the Ripper/Temptation Island. It became a bingo club which was closed in March 1970 when the operation was transferred to the Plaza.

The Regal was built for Jefton’s Entertainments Ltd. circuit.
