The Ritz Theatre was opened in 1930. Like so many small town theatres the usual 3 or 4 different films a week like this one on August 6 and 7 1959:"The H-Man" and "The Women Eaters" & quot;Last Train From Gun Hil" would follow, thank goodness. It was closed on January 17, 1979 with Rick Guinn in “Buffalo Rider”.
The building went into a state of disrepair. It was gutted back to the bare brick walls and the roof & ceiling were removed. It reopened in 2015 as a banquet hall name Ritz Center.

Hopefully some CT members in the Carolinas can flesh this theatre out a bit more from what i was able to do.

Open ~1935-~1969? Can anyone verify the exact dates?
I know for sure it was open in 1967.

This is now the Ritz Center. Address is 213 Hickman Road, Tabor City, NC. Hickman Road is on the opposite side of the railroad tracks from South Main St.
