It was re-built in 1930, to the plans of architect Horace G. Bradley. Re-opened on 26th December 1930, it was equipped with a Compton 2Manual/5Ranks organ, which was opened by Wilfred Southworth. The Prince’s Cinema was operated by Hewitsons Ltd. owners of the Windsor Theatre, Bearwood, Smethwick, who also owned the nearby Empire Theatre. They soon transferred the Compton organ to the Empire Theatre.
The Prince’s Cinema was closed on 27th June 1970 with "Carry On Camping" and "Carry On Teacher". It re-opened in 1971 as an Asian cinema, screening Bollywood films. The Prince’s Cinema closed in 1980.
It stood unused until it reopened on 14th January 1994 following restoration. Initially it screened regular films, but a year later turned to Bollywood films. It closed around 2001.
The building became derelict and was eventually demolished in 2008.

This cinema reopened on the 14th January 1994 after a restoration. It started showing Western/Hollywood films but by the following year had moved to exclusively Asian/Bollywood films again. It was still open as late as 2000 (the films listed above the door right up until demolition date were from this year) but appears to have closed soon after that, and certainly by 2002.
