The Bandon Theater served as the hometown movie theater in Bandon, Oregon from 1937 until the late-1970’s. The last owners were Jack and Shirley Ward. The theater was built as a somewhat temporary structure following the 1936 Bandon fire, but continued to serve for nearly 40 years. The seating arrangement as 5/10/5 X 20 but was altered a bit after a modest renovation in the late-1960’s. The theater had a decent projection and sound system–better than many larger theaters in the area.

Yeah,Phil I have noticed smaller theatres often are better picture and sound than these larger Downtown Theatres.
I knew a man that Built a Theatre,Southside Cinema on CT and the picture and sound were fantasic.35mm.seated about 150 or so,

Boxoffice, Feb. 18, 1956: “Although flood waters came up in the Bandon Theatre recently, covering the floor up to the 12 front rows for four days, the house was able to resume operation without extensive repairs. Owner Raleigh Greene had the air conditioning motors lifted high so heat could be resumed. Chief damage was to aisle carpeting.”
