The Sherman Drive-In opened June 18, 1965 as a single screen ozoner. Car capacity was listed at 1,300 cars. At this time it was operated by Indianapolis Theatres. In June 1973 a second screen was added and later a third screen was added and it was then operated by United Artists Theatres.
The Sherman Drive-In closed on June 30, 1983 and has since been demolished.

The site is mostly vacant, the entry/exit road partially remains and the foundation of the concession/projection building remains along with some ramps.
