Park Theatre

The Park Theatre opened in 1938 with 800-seats. It was built and operated by the Meloy Brothers. Later Mr. David Williston was the owner of the Park Theatre. The theatre was located on Martindale Street but the street name changed to Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue.

The theatre closed in 1958. It was converted into a funeral parlor After serving as a church for a number of years it was later demolished. Now a vacant lot.

Meloy Brothers opened the Park Theatre in 1938 on a 20-year lease. The theater closed in 1958 and was converted to a funeral parlor.

According to an ad for American Bodiform Seating in Boxoffice of May 7, 1939, the Meloy Brothers' Park Theatre in Indianapolis was designed by architect Maurice E. Thornton.
