The Strand Theatre was opened November 25, 1937 with Joe E. Brown in “Fit for a King”. Seating listed at 380. It was owned and operated by Paramount’s Interstate Circuit through their subsidiary Hoblitzell & O'Donnell.

The Strand Theatre closed sometime in the mid-1950’s. The building is still standing and used for retail purposes.
