73 Main Street is NOT the entrance of the drive-in. Instead, it is a house that sits near the property but not connected.
83 Main Street, Alton NH 03809 is more accurate. On Google Maps the address indicates the Subway and Alton Auto Alignment, which as noted before sits close to where the box office once stood. It should be noted that the drive-in entrance road was widened and renamed “Village Circle”.
In addition, a new parking lot and drive has eliminated the remains of the screen foundation. The remaining traces of the ramps have been virtually wiped out due to the land being cleared. Apart from the general outline, there is little of the drive-in remaining.
Update: The address for this theater is 73 Main St. Alton NH 03809. Subway now sits on the property around where the box office stood.

The Theatre Historical Society archive has the MGM Theatre Report for the Alton Drive-In; it’s Card # 606. But no one filled it out so there is no info. There is an undated photo which shows a wide driveway and a screen in the far distance. From the number on the card and the appearance of the card, I estimate that it dates from about 1950-51.
The location of this drive-in was just south of School St. on Main St. (Hwy 11).
If you look closely about a half block, you can see the entrance, some ramps and some of the screen foundation.
