Opened as the Theatr Ardudwy in 1972, the theatre is housed in a purpose built modern concrete building, close-by the historic Harlech Castle. As well as presenting live theatre and concerts, since 1994 it was home to the film society. It was closed in the early-2010’s

This theatre is closed, and has been for many years. Plans are afoot for refurbishing and repurposing the theatre and former college areas.
