The Passage Kino opened in 1913. Later given an Art Deco style make-over, in 1964 it was twinned with seating for 522 and 271. A third screen seating 40 was added in 1980. In recent years it was operated by the CinemaxX chain who closed it on 11th November 2009 as a triplex.
It was taken over by an independent operator and has been renovated/restored, and equipped with 3D Digital equipment. It re-opened in mid-March 2010 with seating capacities of 502, 282 and 40. It is the oldest operating cinema in Hamburg.

I guess Hamburg wasn’t bombed during WWII?,Ken.
As Hamburg was a major port city, it was heavily bombed. Looks like the Passage Kino was spared.
