Theatre closed for good on Jan 15, 2018. It was the last tenant in the now completely vacant former mall.

The theater is currently closed for extensive renovation and expansion. Here is an article about the construction currently in progress. When the theater reopens in 2013, it will be known as the Pearl Stadium 8.
One of the last remaining “in the corner of the mall” theatres…hope the renovations bring some much needed business back to this mall. I remember how nice it was in the nineties…anybody remember Hess’s Dept. Store??
The King Theatre Circuit will be adding an additional four screens to this theater, including one of their proprietary giant screens, a 21+ screening room with cocktail service, and upgrades to all of the existing auditoriums according to this article: View link

If you go to the Map, you need to go East a bit to get to the Mall, that’s as close as I could get trying all different kinds of address combinations. It sure maps better than the original address. Can anyone come up with a better address?

CWalczak…Your correct. That part of the mall is now a Dicks Sporting goods store.
Regal closed that one too, apparently in 2005, when a Great Escape twelve-plex opened outside the mall.
United Artist used to have a “UA The Movies….” at the Lycoming Valley Mall. A 5 screen if I remember.

I wonder how many of these theaters that originally opened as “UA The Movies at….” are still around. Based on the pictures, this one is virtually identical to the one that opened in the Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor, MI in the 1970’s.
