Moonlight Movies

The Moonlight Movies was Hong Kong’s first seasonal outdoor cinema.
The Moonlight Movies programmes premiered in October 2007 and ended in November 2009.

The venue was on the grassy podium of Cyberport on the southern side of the Hong Kong Island.

With 200 specially made beanbags, provided casual seating for the audience on the grass with a view of the permanent stationary LED screen measuring 6.8 meters high and 9 meters wide.
The films shown in the programmes included “Titanic”, “The Breakfast Club”, “Jaws”, “Walk the Line”, “Scarface”, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”, “ET”, “Dead Poets Society”, “Along Came Polly”, “Fight Club”, “The Blues Brothers”, 2The Party", “Gladiator”, “Finding Nemo”, “A Bug’s Life”, “Sex and the City”, “Apocalypse Now Redux”, “Wall Street” and “Moulin Rouge” etc.

A news release issued by the organizers of the Moonlight Movies on 2nd September, 2010 said that the event has been postponed until further notice.
