The Spalding Drive-In was located in Griffin, Georgia, named after the county the drive-in is located in. Rural at one time, today almost a part of greater Atlanta. It was the city’s largest parking 422 cars and was owned by R.W. Getzen. It was still open in 1975, but had closed by 1981.

Open 1955-1967?
Open for sure in 1967.
Need an address, more info and photos.
One potential address for the drive-in is 1007 Memorial Road, Griffin, GA. It is not far from the Griffin-Spaulding Airport.
Today, most of the drive-in is part of the New Oak Cemetery and the Veteran’s Service Office. There is no trace of the drive-in remaining.

The address given by Ken is correct.
Please update.
The Iris not Irish Drive-in was located to the west on U.S. 41.
The Spalding Was Still In Operation In 1962.
The advertisement lists the Iris Drive-In as being on Memorial Drive.
The only drive-in on Memorial Drive, which runs for just a few miles, is the Spaulding Drive-In.
Either the two drive-ins are the same OR the Spaulding Drive-In was located somewhere else. And wherever that was, I cannot find another drive-in around Griffin, GA in the 1962 aerial. That doesn’t mean another drive-in did not exist, but if it did I have yet to find it.
It looks operational in 1973, but it appears that the screen was gone by 1981.
