Horseshoe Lake sign

The Horseshoe Lake Drive-In opened on June 25, 2004 with Marlon Wayons in “White Chicks” & “Shrek 2”. It opened with one screen, and I believe added the 2nd screen in 2007. However, after the 2008 season the drive in did not reopen. According to their still active website, they decided not to reopen in their current location because of problems with flooding. They note that the equipment is fine, and they are looking to sell it to somebody with a better location.

By 2024, the site is overgrown and the screens have been demolished, only the concession/projection building remains.

PLEASE CHANGE ADDRESS TO:

FREDERICK AVENUE & NORTH RIVERSIDE ROAD

I know that the address 5815 and 5811 Frederick are “FLOATING” around, but they just don’t work!

Car capacity 300?

Anyone have more info or photos?

5811 Frederick Ave. does map., you can still see the outline of the drive-in at that address.

The entire property is engulfed in trees. It also appears that the screen is no longer present. Although the projection booth/concession stand is still there.
