The Strand was in the Harison Bldg @ 756 Broad St. It was a five-story building and the fire started somewhere in the building. It spread to the Albion Hotel to the west and the Miller Walker building next door.and most of the block back to Reynolds St. The fire not only took out the theater that had been known as the Arcadium and the Bonita before being named the Strand, but also took out the Bijou, formerly the Elite next door on the second floor to the east. The strand was owned and operated by the same group that owned the Modjeska.
The only actor i ever heard about was William S.Hart.
