The Carver Theatre was located on S. Holt Street at Nash Street. It opened in 1940 with seating listed at 590. This was a neighborhood house and catered to an African American Audience.
The Carver Theatre closed in 1961 and has since been demolished. Any further information on the Carver Theatre would be appreciated.

I believe the building is still standing at 620 S. Holt. The building later housed the Laicos Club. It has recently been purchased with plans to make it a multi use entertainment center.
