The Empire Theatre was opened by 1914. It was a small theatre, and in August 1917 a New Empire Theatre was opened at 214 Montgomery Street (which has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Commerce Street Empire Theatre is in use as CC Daiquiris bar & restaurant in 2021.
