Located in the north Victoria town of Numurkah. The Mechanics Institute was screening films in the early part of the 20th century. It had closed by 1952.
In March 2010, it was seen as being in retail use as a discount shop.

My grandfather was a projectionist at this theatre in the 1930’s, as related to me by my father. This was till about 38/39 when the family moved to follow my garndfather’s job with the Post Office.
