Cobram Drive-In

Located on the edge of the north-eastern Victoria town of Cobram, near the border with New South Wales. The Cobram Drive-In was located on the corner of Purgatory Road and Murray Valley Highway.

It was independently operated and had a rather short life, opening in August 1983, and closing on 17th December 1985.

In March 2010, the ticket booth, screen and projection/concession building all still stand. Other small buildings have been built on the land, which are used as a manufacturing unit for Oasis Mobile Homes.

No Drive-ins listed at all in the 1956 Motion picture Almanac.thought they would have had a few screens.

Are they going to show movies for their employees? If that’s the case I’m moving there and getting a job.
