The Plaza Theatre was open by 1950 with seating listed at 500. It was operated by the Minnesota Amusement Co., later by Carish Theatres and finally by Carmike in 1985.
No info on when it was twinned.
The Plaza Twin closed in 1995 when the Watertown Cinema 5 opened. Any further information on the Plaza Theatre would be appreciated.

The finding aid for the Liebenberg & Kaplan papers list two projects for the Plaza Theatre in Watertown, one being dated 1948-49 (maybe the original construction) and the other dated 1954 (perhaps alterations to accommodate a CinemaScope screen.)
