There were at least two theatres in Mullens. The Rialto Theatre was on Moran Avenue at First Street and the Wyoming Theatre was on Howard Avenue at 2nd Street.
I never remember the Rialto Theatre being open but the Wyoming Theatre was open into the 1970’s. Both buildings were torn down after the 2001 flood.

Definitely not open in 1922. There are 1930 and 1948 maps, but neither are available online. If the address is right, this was not on a corner, but in the middle of the block north of the funeral home. This was gone by 1993, since it’s not in the NRHP listing.
