The 324 seat Strand Theatre was opened in 1935. It was operated by Erickson Theatres. The theatre was located on S. Main Street at 3rd Avenue.
The theatre closed in the mid-1970’s, but reopened only to be destroyed by fire in 1984. A bank has been built on the site.

Was not refitted. It was torn down, and there’s an ugly little bank on the corner today.
The STRAND may have closed for a time in the 1970’s, but it was showing movies at the time of the fire that destroyed it. Reportedly it was caused by a popcorn machine left on overnight.
