Film Projectors and associated equipment apparently have removed from what was known as the booth. The projection booth has now become an office.

The Vogue was back running film again at VIFF 2011. I’m told they now have Dolby Digital. Still the same Victoria 10 projectors from way back when, running 6000 reels.
CP200 as of 2010 did handle the audio.

Star Wars ( Episode IV ) never had a 70MM engagement during it’s first run in 1977 in Vancouver. I’m 99.5% sure of this.
It did how ever come back re-releases and a charity screening of all three of them in 70MM. The details of the later I’m not too sure of but it could have been at the Stanley in 1985.
Jedi opened in 70MM at the Vogue.
The theatre is said to house at least two ghosts: one that dwells in the basement dressing room and another that lurks in the wing of the left orchestra. Staff often report unexplained noises such as footsteps, but there have also been reports of apparitions of a tall man in a white tuxedo and black bow tie. Allegedly this dapper spectre was even spotted in the aisle by a well-known performer from on stage during the middle of his performance.
Here is a Star Wars ad showing the Vogue Theatre with showtimes. What’s missing is that the original presentation of Star Wars at the Vogue was in 70mm Dolby Stereo.
