Located in the east London district of Plaistow. This was a conversion of a Chapel building which stood near Pelly Road railway bridge, opposite Terrace Road. It opened in 1908 as the Globe Picture Palace. It was first operated by A.J. Gale as one of the first cinemas in his chain of Gale Bioscope Theatres Ltd. Later operated by Picture House Syndicates Ltd. it continued until it closed around 1915.
It was later converted into the Given-Wilson Institute before it was eventually demolished. Most of the buildings in the area have been either bombed during World War II or since demolished and housing is now built on the site.
