The Bemidji Theatre opened in 1935 with seating listed at 720. The theatre was operated by Bauer Theatres.
It was closed in 1955. The front of the building has been removed and a new structure built, but the former auditorium remains.

If this theater was located in the BPO Elk’s building, then it is the house that opened on March 7, 1917, as the Elko Theatre. If that’s the case, then 1935 is probably the year it was renamed Bemidji Theatre. If it isn’t the same theater, then the Elko was very close by. The Elk’s building is at the corner of 4th and Beltrami.
Google has no street view for this building, and Bing Maps bird’s-eye view is nothing but a blur. It would help if somebody could post a photo.
I don’t know if this helps — but this is the Ben Franklin store that’s at the address above.
The Ben Franklin building doesn’t look at all like it would have been a lodge hall, and is not part of a corner building, which the Elk Lodge is. The Elko must have been a different theater, and not an aka for the Bemidji Theatre. It is one of several early theaters in Bemidji that are not yet listed at Cinema Treasures.
