If there are any CT readers with an emotional attachment to this location, and I doubt there are, you might want to plan a visit to take a last look as a developer is requesting rezoning. No word on the actual plan but the zoning requested would allow for the construction of one of those Live, Work, Play developments that are so popular now. The signs are posted around the pie shaped area between the mall ring road, I-575, and the commercial development to the north so the mall proper is not involved unless perhaps it’s current zoning already allows for such.

My wife and I saw The Lighthouse the evening of October 25, 2019. I added some pictures from the lobby. I would have gotten our auditorium, but it was too dark for pictures… even with the “Noovie” playing!
The Regal 22 at Austell and the Town Center 16 both opened on November 19th, 1999.
12 screens on December 20th, 1991. another ad posted.
Worked from 1986-1989. I actually worked here BEFORE it opened (early 1986). I moved up from the south side of town (Jonesboro) to work here. Worked at National 6 in College Park previously. I was a projectionist, then Manager. Good times!
I miss Storey Theaters…
This is opened by Storey Theatres on May 23rd, 1986 with eight screens. I have posted an grand opening ad with picture in the photo section for this theatre.

REGAL CINEMAS !!! So thankful i worked for ABC/PLITT and GCC .No way could i ever work for these folks just ask any manager,and if he or she has the guts, you will no what i mean.
