Nearby Theaters
Located beside the original entrance to Highbury & Islington Railway station (a new entrance to the tube & railway is now used across the road). The Temperance Billiard Hall was briefly used as the Electric Cinema Theatre in around 1909. It would have been put out of business certainly by the time the nearby Highbury Imperial Picture Theatre opened in December 1912. It went back to being a billiard hall/snooker club.
Today the attractive looking building (which always looked like it could have been a cinema) is in use as a nightclub, in 2008 known as Garage, and an Italian restaurant named Trevi Ristorante.
