A small cinema that was the first to close in Blaenau Ffestiniog operating prior to 1934. It was built more as a shed with a façade, rather than as a cinema, and had a 21 feet wide proscenium. Local legend has it that the hall possessed a zinc/tin roof that made it impossible to listen to soundtracks during heavy rain.
The Park Cinema was closed in the late-1950’s or early-1960’s. After demolition, housing was built on the site.

The propreitor at the time of opening was W.O. Thomas. The cinema originally could seat 400 patrons at prices from 6d to 1/–. Programmes changed twice weekly, and shows were continmuous daily.
By 1952 the owners were Park Cinemas (Blaenau Festiniog) Ltd and seating had been reduced to 368 seats at prices of 9d to 1/6d.
The Empire, Forum and Park cinemas all had the same address, Lloyd’s House, 18, Lloyd Street, Manchester 2, but differently named proprietors in 1944.. were they all a part of Hoylake Entertainments Ltd.’s circuit? Or just using the same booking agent?
