Highway 460 was renamed Route 14 in 1974. The configuration of the property East of town looks like a possible place for a drive-in.

There’s also a link on the drive-ins.com page what is supposedly a 1998 aerial shot of the location of this drive-in. It’s identical to the location SiliconSam suggested. Also, in the 1998 aerial, you can clearly see the shadow of a screen tower. So this was probably the drive-in’s location.
1973 aerial uploaded in this theatre’s photo section.
Approximate location for this drive-in was E Main St. Just west of CR 1325E outside of town heading towards Crossville. Some ramps are still visible.
Saw “Land That Time Forgot” there in 1974.
the screen still stands.
UPDATE: The address for this theater is now 1575 S Cross St, Carmi, IL 62821. This points directly to the drive in itself. All ramps are still visible and is being used for storage.
Please update.
The March 27, 1954 issue of BoxOffice noted that the 460, owned by Donald R. Toliver, had reopened for the season, implying that it was active by 1953.
Motion Picture Exhibitor, Nov. 27, 1957: “Frank Glenn, Tamaroa, Ill., bought the 460 Drive-In, Carmi, Ill., from Donald R. Tolliver. Glenn is owner of the Melody, Mount Vernon, and Starland, Mt. Vernon, Ill. Tolliver and his family moved to Florida.”
