Located in the east London district of Dalston. The Hackney and Kingsland Imperial Picture Palace opened in May 1911. It was operated by William Frederick Atherton. By 1924 it was operated by Benjamin Jay and had been re-named as the Kings Cinema, and advertised pictures and variety. A fire occurred in the projection box in 1933 and it was closed, never to re-open.

It has since been demolished and in 2008, a building containing Duncan Lewis & Co. solicitors stands on the site. In summmer 2009, it is empty and ‘To Let’.
