If showtimes are anything to go by, Auditorium 5 is slated to reopen Friday with Auditorium 10 closing for upgrades the same day.

They are in the process of reopening some of the theaters that received recliners, Auditorium 1 reopened on 12/19 while Auditorium 2 reopened today (12/22). With two upgraded theaters up and running, they just closed Auditoriums 8 & 9 for their recliner installs.

Auditoriums 17-23 are retaining their original stadium seating configurations, with some of those theaters are receiving Cypress Creek 16’s old seats. Not sure why some of them are closed at the moment. (A/C issues?)

Currently, expect for IMAX that just got recliners, theatres 1 thru 7, 18 thru 20 and 22 currently closed for new seating. This project is moving very slow progress.

November 1999 was when they completed the overall renovation, the new screens themselves (3, 7-11) opened on June 11th if newspaper listings from that period are anything to go by. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any ads confirming it, however.

Does anyone have photos of this theater back when it had 18 screens?

I loved going to this theater when I lived in Broward. I was surprised when I found out that this theater was built in 1991, and how groundbreaking it was for its time. Regal did a really good job renovating it in 1999.

Anyway, I appreciate the murals that are in most of the auditoriums. I understand that Regal made an exception with the larger murals in this theater by putting clouds in place of the illuminated stars found in most of their other theaters of this vintage.
