Billed as the largest movie theater complex east of the Rocky Mountains when first opened December 13, 1991. The Cobb Sawgrass 18 anchored the dining/entertainment wing of West Broward’s Sawgrass Mills regional outlet mall. Five more screens were added on November 12, 1999, and Regal took over after their merger with Cobb. Recliner seats were being installed in July 2025.

Please add to description 5 screens open on November 12, 1999 and the theatre currently getting recliners installed.
November 1999 was when they completed the overall renovation, the new screens themselves (3, 7-11) opened on June 11th if newspaper listings from that period are anything to go by. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any ads confirming it, however.
The IMAX theater (Auditorium 11) reopened this past Friday with recliners and laser projection. Capacity reduced to 173 seats.
Currently, expect for IMAX that just got recliners, theatres 1 thru 7, 18 thru 20 and 22 currently closed for new seating. This project is moving very slow progress.
They are in the process of reopening some of the theaters that received recliners, Auditorium 1 reopened on 12/19 while Auditorium 2 reopened today (12/22). With two upgraded theaters up and running, they just closed Auditoriums 8 & 9 for their recliner installs.
Auditoriums 17-23 are retaining their original stadium seating configurations, with some of those theaters are receiving Cypress Creek 16’s old seats. Not sure why some of them are closed at the moment. (A/C issues?)
