The first Frank’s Theatre was built around 1913 and was located on Concord Street. That theatre was destroyed by fire.
This Frank’s Theatre was built in 1931. In 1937 the name was changed to the Dixie Theatre. It was operated by Theaters Service Co. In 1960 the name was changed back to Frank’s Theatre and it continued to operate under that name until it closed in 1983. The theatre is currently being restored for the purpose of showing films and for live performances.
