The State Th. in Nashua is listed in 1942-43 edition of the Motion Picture Almanac as part of Shea-Chain Inc. & Affiliates, 1540 Broadway, New York City. Shea also ran the Tremont Th. in Nashua at that time.
The State was known as the Star Cinema in the 1970s and 80s, when it was a twin. Here is a 1980 photo:

My stepfather was the manager of the State and Daniel Webster theatres up until the D.W closed and the State changed owners—I watched hundreds of movies from 1966—1974 when he was the manager—I would go to the movies 3 or 4 times a week. As a teenager I helped the workers take down the Daniel Webster Theatre which was heartbreaking for me
Boxoffice, Feb. 1, 1981: “Fire officials in Nashua, N.H., blamed a popcorn machine for start of a fire that swept through the empty Star Cinema on the city’s Main St. on a recent Saturday, shortly after the matinee showing had ended. Although the 300-seat theatre was empty of patrons when the blaze broke out, some 60 people were evacuated from apartments adjacent to and above the theatre in the three-story brick building.”
