Great Escape at Gravois Bluffs opened December 17, 2008, as an anchor to the Summitt at Gravois Bluffs Shopping Center. It is Great Escape’s second venture in the St. Louis movie market.
The theatre offers stadium seting with high back leather rocking love seats, digital projection and sound including digital 3D features. Taken over by Regal in 2012. It was closed on September 25, 2022 due to the bankruptcy of Regal/Cineworld.

November 7th, 2008 grand opening ad in photo section. Construction delays postponed its opening until December 17th, 2008.

If you have gift cards, it might be time to use them. Though open, the theatre was one of 20 theaters approved for lease relief in a bankruptcy maneuver with Regal’s parent in bankruptcy protection. Most closed September 14, 2022 while others - like the Fenton location - continued through the month hoping for a miraculous turnaround. There was little to no chance of operations continuing into October.

Slight mistake: the AMC East Alton closed in July. the Tivoli 3 closed in 2021.
