Valley Gem Theatre

The Gem of Valley Park was located on the south side of St. Louis Avenue in Valley Park. It was just block west of the post office. In the early days plays were performed there and later the movies.

The theatre was abosrbed by a chemical plant next door and was torn down in the late 1990’s. It was the only theatre in Valley Park which was a resort and summer home area for St. Louis County along the banks of the Meramec River. The Valley Park Historical Society has pictures of the theatre and of the stage area.
