Located in the Town Hall, Millport, on the Isle of Cumbrae, Strathclyde. The Millport Picture House has been operating since before 1937 when it was listed with a seating capacity of 350.

Always operated by independent exhibitors, it was listed in 1966 with 327 seats, a 20 feet wide proscenium and had been equipped for showing Cinemascope films. By 1980, it was known as The Cinema, operating in the Summer only, with a seating capacity of 312.

It was closed briefly from 18th December 1998 until Easter 1999 (possibly for refurbishment).

The Bute Hall was licenced on Nov 23rd 1910. Also showing films a wooden building built by the United Presbyterians in 1864 who used it until 1877, but was a paint store in 1975. In 1945 the lessees of the Town Hall Picture House were the LCV Circuit of Glasgow.
