Opened with on screen 1 with “The Graduate” and “Interude” and screnn 2 with “Winning” and “Angel in my pocket”.

The Viking Drive-In opened on September 10th, 1969 by Consolidated Theatres. Grand opening ad posted.

Approx. address for this drive-in was 3121 Freedom Drive. The entrance and exit driveways are partially there.

Now part of the Berry Academy of Techology. North field is now the track. South field is now the baseball field and tennis courts.

Friend in Charlotte shot video that day i was exploring,but have never gotten a copy.he has probably lost the VHS tape it was on.Also shot VHS of the old Fox Drive-in.

I visted the ruins one time only to find homeless people living in the Box Office.Needless To Say,I didn’t stay long!
