Calvary Christian Church of the Apostolic Faith now occupies the site.

It was actually called the Albemarle Rd Drive-in even though Albemarle Rd was about a mile or so away.
Until recently, 2009, the perimeter aluminum fence still stood next to the church.
This is the first place I ever saw the Beatles in a short film just before they made it big. I was 7 or 8.
This was before the film “A Summer Place”
Man, i would ave loved to be that close to a Drive-in. Have a friend here in Augusta and the WEIS DRIVE-In supplied entertainment for a whole row of houses. During the summer, families would set up yard chairs and enjoy the movies and he said for the most part you could hear fine.
we lived down the street behind the theater, so we saw a lot of free movies……

Was the Albermarle Drive-in the “BIG A Drive-in” my 1956 motion picture ALmanac has no BIG-A Drive-in.
Now a large church stands on the land where the Big A used to be.
