This is a rather non-descript cinema I chanced upon while returning from Baltimore. It was opened May 17, 1995 by R/C Theatres. It was later operated by Regal Entertainment.

Taken over by an independent operator in 2009, it has been equipped to screen Digital 3D.

Regal Eastpoint (originally run by R/C Theatres) opened in 1995 or 1996. It boasted the area’s first modern stadium-seating screen (auditorium #4), but the other 9 screens are rather ordinary. For a while there was a tenth projector set up in the lobby which showed trailers.

That should be, “…ELEVENTH projector set up in the lobby…”

This theater appears to be closed. Its listing on Fandango still exists but online ticketing has been removed. Also, it’s showtime listings were not shown in the local newspaper (Baltimore Sun) this weekend.

Correction on previous comment: this theater is now an independently owned and operated theatre. Regal Entertainment Group no longer operates this theatre.

Chain should be changed to Independent since Regal no longer operates this theater.

This is owned by the same company that was once known as Village Theatres in the Chicago area. From what I’ve read about them, they basically take reject theatres from larger chains and run them completely into the ground. Wonder how long it will take them to do that to this location?

This opened as the largest cinema complex in the state. Grand opening ad in the photo section.
