The Yucca Theatre opened January 10, 1947, as a second-run theatre, for the Albuquerque Theatres chain. It was very short-lived, closing in 1952. In 1953, the Evangelical Temple church is shown at this address. There is a truck rental and sales business at this address today, but not sure if the theatre building is still standing or has been replaced.

The ‘founders’ (early congregants) of St. Therese Catholic Church held services at the Yucca in the late 40s before the permanent church was built nearby
