According to a January 28, 1950 story in Boxoffice magazine, Mr. and Mrs. Arvis Edmondson opened the Ar-Von Theatre on December 17, 1949, which had been under construction since May of 1949. The article said that the theater could seat 400 and included a cry room and parking lot. It was closed in 1965.
