Freedom Mall Cinemas

Opening on July 16, 1976, the short-lived Freedom Mall Cinemas was located in the Freedom Mall on the west side of Charlotte, at the corner of Freedom Drive & Ashley Road. It opened as a three-screen cinema under Schneider-Merl and soon went to ABC Southeastern Theatres. It closed in September 1977 and was demolished later to make way for an expansion store.
